Hello Frederick, I'm not the pen you wrote to, but I think I can help with your problem regarding of the .gnupg-directory.
If you enable Enigmail's "Expert Settings" according to [1], you can pass additional parameters to GnuPG. With a combination of some parameters, you can change the location of the files GnuPG uses: --no-default-keyring --keyring" "./pubring.gpg --secret-keyring ./secring.gpg --trustdb-name ./trustdb.gpg Please refer to the manpage of GnuPG for more informations about these parameters.
