I have to confess that I just moved pinentry-mac into 
/usr/local/macGPG1/libexec and now all works like a breeze. The integration of 
GPGMail into Apple Mail is just gorgeous and I really honour what you are 
doing. Keep up the good job!

Well, first I moved it into Applications where all my .apps reside. However, 
after your instructions I decided to move it to the subsystem because I assumed 
that I never would use it in a different context.

BTW.: Sorry for the erroneously sent mail before. I am still investigating 
keyboard shortcuts in Lion which sometimes results in interesting behaviour ;-)
