So you're working on 10.5. Unfortunately I've only 10.7 but we'll see if we can 
find the root cause of your issue.
Please test the latest alpha version of the installer (just created a new one): 
see [1].

If there is a directory called "/private/tmp/GPGMail_Installation", could you 
please remove it?
Mh, also the installer should use the directory 
"/private/tmp/GPGMail_Installation", not "./private/tmp/GPGMail_Installation". 
Are you using any "special" configuration (network user, directory 
authentication, or whatever)?
