Hi, I'm working on a project where I need to set up camera from the PC. The more control - the better, but at least liveview, f-number, focal distance. Ideally i wan to be able to click on the live image and make camera autofocus on that particular point.
I have a sony a6000 and I can do all that from the camera menu, but not with libgphoto. AFAIK it is not possible to do from libgphoto. So I'm looking to buy an affordable (say, about 300 eur) mirrorless Canon or Nikon camera, as they seem to support what I need. But there are so many models - which ones would you recommend? Which are the most reliable? The best bang for buck? Which would you NOT recommend? P.S.: not going to do anything fancy, like macto- or speed-shooting, just regular images at regular intervals, while seeing and setting it from the gui that i'm writing. Thanks a lot in advance!
