I'd like to make an comment to the docs available under
http://www.gphoto.org/doc/remote/ for the section "Using as webcam /
video conferencing camera":
Your guide helped me with my ubuntu 20.04, but I ran into problems with
ffmpeg:
[video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0x55bece17e580] Unable to open V4L2 device
'/dev/video2'
Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters
?): Operation not permitted
Error initializing output stream 0:0 --
I installed ffmpeg via snap, which is relativly new. To make ffmpeg
working on that device, I followed this instruction:

and run
snap connect ffmpeg:camera
then it worked just like a charm.
