Hi,

First, try to switch the A6400 to PC Control mode in its USB menu
and see if that already helps.

In that cases it should be shown by commands like

        lsusb
        gphoto2 --auto-detect

If not, check "dmesg" output if there are USB troubles when the camera
tries to connect to the Pi.
