Summary: gtkpod extended database corrupts the database
Product: gPodder
Version: 0.11.0
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Estimated Hours: 0.0
This is on Mandriva Cooker with gpodder r610, gtkpod 0.99.12 and libgpod 0.6.0.
If the option for extended gtkpod database write support is enabled in the
options, the database is corrupted after adding a podcast from gpodder. This
can be seen by two things: the free space reported by gtkpod is wrong, e.g. it
reports the iPod is overfilled with 100MB while 18MB are still free. Also,
after using the "Check iPod's Files" command in gtkpod, It found orphan files
that it scheduled to delete. After saving the changes in gtkpod, the podcast
files were still in the podcast menu of the ipod, but it wasn't possible to
play these files anymore.
This is always reproducible for me. I'm using a 1st generation iPod Nano 2GB.
