I tried it on 2 computer: one with feisty the other with hardy beta.
On both, between 2 hardisk partitions: 
my ext3 root partition and an fat32 mounted on /media/data.

If you check the code in shutil.py, you'll notice that the question is why it
works on your computer...

Anyway, I have already written a pre-patch which catch the NameError and in
this case uses a patched method (a copy of the original method where the
WindowsError is removed). I notice I have forgotten to attach it to my first
message. If I find it again, I'll post it.
