I can confirm the slowness. Steps to reproduce:
Subscribe to a channel that has a lot of podcsast. The one causing prolems for
me has 165 podcasts. The podcasts are reference casts, so I never delete them.
Any actions on that list are very slow. If I select between 5-10 casts and
sync, gPodder just sits there for several minutes, then syncs 1-2 casts, and
says it's finished. If I check my ipod, only those 2-3 podcasts show up. If I
select > 10 podcasts, gPodder never seems to sync. If I select all 165
podcasts, gPodder immediately freezes, or becomes unusably slow for an
indeterminate amount of time.
My platform is a fresh install of Xubuntu 7.10 on a Thinkpad T41 laptop, with
1.5 gb of ram, and a 1.7 gHz Celeron M
