I think I'll re-work the delayed channel loading patch with the latest optimizations I've done on Friday and Saturday (some code still to be checked in! ;). I think in this case, it's better to rewrite the delayed loading with the new code, because the new code is just so much faster (and cleaner!) in my opinion.
