That's what the "do not download" context-menu item does. Unfortunately, it seems the feed you are using does something weird and gPodder can't handle that (yet). I've been subscribed to the reported podcast since Thurdsay and have just updated the feed - I have not yet had any of the old episodes appear as new yet.
