Summary: full fail to open
Product: gPodder
Version: 0.15.2
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: medium
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
This is in Ubuntu 8.10, I was running 0.12.1 or so for quite a while with no
problems. DLed 0.15.2 in the Debian/Ubuntu prepackage from Thomas and installed
(without removing the 0.12.1 install) and got the following message:
$ gpodder
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/gpodder", line 185, in <module>
sys.exit( main())
File "/usr/bin/gpodder", line 134, in main
remote_object = session_bus.get_object(gpodder.dbus_bus_name,
gpodder.dbus_gui_object_path)
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'dbus_bus_name'
so i found that the previous install wasn't removed and did that (or at least I
intended that I do that) and then restarted and reDLed the new 0.15.2 and got
the same msg. flummoxed I assumed now that it is a bug, but maybe i just
screwed up as usual.
Just double checked that when I removed the latest install that it removed
completely and it seems to have, so ....
what else can I do to help?
