Summary: Remove deleted episodes from the episode list if the
feed does not list the episode anymore
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 0.15.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: low
         Component: Application
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

For podcasts that only make episodes available for a few days, after a number
of weeks of subscribing, the episode list for that podcast can become very
large. After a particular episode has been downloaded and listened to, there is
no real benefit for having that episode listed once it is no longer available,
and cannot be downloaded again. (Trying to download a podcast that is no longer
available gives a 'HTTP 404' error.)

It would be good to be able to right-click on an episode and have a 'remove
from episode list' option. That way, the episode list can remain a manageable
size, and 'zombie' episodes, that have been deleted, but cannot be downloaded
again because they are no longer available in the feed, can be purged.

I would imagine that if an episode has been removed from the list, but is still
available in the feed, it should re-appear when the user 'checks for new
episodes'. Obviously once it is no longer available in the feed, and the user
removes it from the list, it should stay gone :D

To see what I mean, subscribe to the following podcast for two weeks, and then
try to get rid of old episodes:
