Unlike earlier versions and the desktop version, I am unable to select multiple
podcasts when finger-scrolling mode is turned off and scrollbars are enabled
(to mark for deletion, or to mark as listened, or to play, etc.)

Maybe a good alternative (which would work in both finger-scrolling mode as
well as scrollbar mode) which I've seen done in KDE's Dolphin file manager is
to make icons that can be touched to be tagged for operations to occur on
multiple files. Maybe a flag of a quarter of the size of the full icon can be
tagged onto a corner of the file/feed icon for files/feeds that will be
effected by the next operation (delete, mark as listened, play, etc.)
