I realise it is by design (I looked at the code - model.py lines 138 to 141),
but it is not possible to subscribe to an empty feed and it should be.
For example many of the podcasts at http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/ are
for radio series which are not on the air all year round. Some of the feeds are
therefore empty but will be repopulated when a new series starts.
I should be able to subscribe to a podcast of a programme which is currently
off the air (and thus has an empty feed) so that later when epsisodes do appear
I will get them without having to keep checking the feed to see if the
programme is back for a new series.
