The user should have the option to choose a "default" device. This is the
device that is used to synchronize using the legacy API, and also using the
simple API (if no specific device is mentioned).
The default device should be marked in the database so that it's possible to
change the default device using the web interface later on. A default device
should be created for every user (both for migrated users and for new users).
