I have been used to various other podcast software before switching to gPodder
on Windows. One feature I really miss is the ability to limit the number of
episodes kept for a certain feed.
This would be an option in the Advanced part of a podcast setup, and
essentially limits the number of podcasts retained for a feed at any one time.
It gives precedence to the newest podcasts, so the oldest podcasts get deleted
and the newest 5 episodes are always retained.
This is useful if you subscribe to a very frequent podcast, but only have time
to listen to the odd episode. This way you always have the latest 5 episodes
available to sync to your device.
An example of software that already does this is Sony Ericsson's Media Go, but
I have seen others that also do it.
