If you have the time and skills, please have a look at src/gpodder/gtkui/interface/common.py and search for "attach_to_widget". The code snippet you will find there is responsible for attaching the notification to the given widget. In this case, there should be an additional check to see if the window in which the widget resides is visible, and if it is not, the "notification.attach_to_widget(widget)" call should simply be skipped. Can you provide a patch for this?
