Please have a look around in the gPodder source code: http://wiki.gpodder.org/wiki/Running_gPodder_from_Git Then, have a look at the database in ~/.config/gpodder/database.sqlite After that, you should have enough information on how you would have to add data to the database file so that downloaded files are detected correctly.
