Summary: Trying to change the Podcast directory through the
preferences dialog fails
Product: gPodder
Version: 0.16.1
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Changing the podcast download directory using the Preferences -> Downloads tab
fails when you try to close the Preferences dialog - with a message that there
was an error moving the files to the new directory and that it will retain the
old directory, gpodder-downloads.
I am using Ubuntu Karmic , 9.10, the default package, version gPodder 0.16.1.
I tried this with a symbolic link first, then a hardlink, and then even just a
parallel directory and it would not work. I tried it without any podcasts
subscribed too (i.e. no files) and with files and it would not work. The
folder name was one word, no special characters (Podcasts).
Hand editing the .config/gpodder/gpodder.conf worked fine, and that is the
value reflected in the dialog now.
This may be similar to #800 https://bugs.gpodder.org/show_bug.cgi?id=800
