Summary: Feature Request: Transfer Files From Downloads Page
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.1
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Feature Request: Allow a user to transfer downloaded podcast files directly to
a device from the Downloads tab, rather than just the Podcasts tab.
Right now, when you download a file, you have to return to the Podcasts tab,
find that file, and then transfer it to your device.
Often, a user will download a number of podcasts at once to transfer to a
device. It would be much handier to be able to right-click on the downloaded
files from the Downloads tab and transfer them directly to the device from
there. This saves on weeding through the Podcasts tab, and saves time in
general.
This might be accomplished via the the Sync button (or something similar) from
the Downloads tab. I could imagine downloading, say, fifteen podcasts, but
only highlighting maybe seven, and then either clicking the Sync button from
the Downloads tab or right-clicking and having a "Transfer to MP3 player"
option from the Downloads tab.
I'm new at dealing with code, but if anyone has some advice on how to get
started on something like this, it's a feature I'd be willing to work on.
