It would be very convenient if in addition to the size information, there was
duration information for episodes.
I looked over the code and this looks rather big for a newbie. It would
require adding a field to the episode table schema, modifications for the
episode model, gui.py, guigtk.py, and probably more places that I overlooked.
It could obtain the information the same way it is done now for iPod
synchronization, but have it done when the episode is initially downloaded from
its source. Updating on the fly during display would be too time consuming.
There would also be the issue of non-destructive upgrade and downgrade for
existing databases.
I think it's still worth the effort, because it is very hard to guess running
time reliably from just the file size. I use gpodder directly as a podcast
player, so I want to know running time before I start something.
