Formally, the requirements are http://drupal.org/requirements
I usually run drupal on top of LAMP.

About hosting, I was thinking in running it on the same server, but now taking
a look to the BerliOS service it seems like the let you serve only static
html(not sure until now, but you can confirm me). I mean, if it's not possible
to use BerilOS, I could host the main site without problems until December,
because I have the hosting payed until that time :-), I suppose I'm going to
renovate it.. just to tell you the completely sure time it could be running ;-)

Sure, IIRC there is a simple way to do that
