--- Comment #2 from [email protected] 2010-02-22 02:23:36 GMT --- I may not understand your question--what do you mean by "canonical URL"? http://leo.am/podcasts/floss seems to be canonicalized per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL_normalization. It is a redirect to the actual XML URL which is http://leoville.tv/podcasts/floss.xml, which also seems to be canonicalized. In the podcast, Leo said that the first URL above should be used: "Now, word of warning, the URL that they use, they for some reason dereferenced our redirect from leo.am/podcasts/floss to the direct XML file. That is going to break *very* soon." "And I guess that actual direct link will also probably--we're going to use, what is it called, Xengine--I can't remember the name of it--we're going to use a program to redirect. But we're moving everything from leo.am to feeds.twit.tv--we want everything to be twit.tv. So the new canonical URLs for the podcast will change slightly--probably feeds.twit.tv/floss. But pay attention to that." So it's not entirely clear, but sounds like gPodder's current link will break soon, but leo.am will continue to work. Then, later, leo.am will also break. I can e-mail them and ask for clarification if you think this is unclear? I assume gPodder can handle URL redirects? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
