Jonathan Lumb <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #29 from Jonathan Lumb <[email protected]> 2010-08-02 18:39:22 BST --- Is this feature to be expected for a forthcoming release? At the moment many of the podcasts I listen to don't have sufficient ID3 tags available - so when I transfer them to a portable device I don't know which episode is which. So as to deal with this situation, I have to use an MP3 tag editor (easytag) to manually copy the episode details into the <title> and <artist> or <album> tags - an operation which is quite cumbersome. As far as I know there is no Linux GUI podcast client that implements this highly desirable feature - although I believe that iTunes does do so on Windows and OS X. I believe that this would make gPodder a considerably more attractive application - and give Windows and Mac advocates a bit less ammo to use when finding reasons not to convert to Linux. Anyway, it would be nice to have an update on the status of this bug so I know whether or not I should hold my breath!
