Summary: Feature request of "virtual feeds"
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.8+ (Git "master" branch)
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application

It would be great to tie in standalone .mp3 files to podcasts. In other words,
to create feeds where the user creates a directory and essentially tells
gpodder to use that directory for a podcast feed. The reason is twofold:
1) For audio books in mp3 files (there is a public domain sight that offers
that service) where they are not tied to a specific podcast.
2) For podcasts that have been discontinued and are no longer maintained but
while they were up I saved the mp3 files. I still like listening to them but I
can't tell gpodder where to look for them obviously.
Am I making sense? Sometimes I feel like I confuse myself with my wording :)
Thanks again for a great product.
.
p.s. I got the idea from the android application "BeyondPod" They call them
virtual feeds.
