First of all: gPodder cannot destroy your iPod. Simply not possible. Period.

Try opening the iPod with gtkpod and see if this works. If not, simply select
the "Restore iPod" feature in iTunes to have it reformatted and cleared - after
that it should work again.

If that does not work, make sure that your file manager shows hidden files and
move the "iTunes_Control" folder out of the way. Then try reopening it with
iTunes and you should be able to use the "Restore iPod" feature to fix it.

Closing as INVALID, as it's clearly not a gPodder issue. If you still
experience problems syncing to Apple devices, please file a bug report in the
libgpod/gtkpod bug tracker, as we are simply using libgpod to communicate with
the iPod.
