Summary: Rename podcasts files once downloaded
Product: gPodder
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application

As asked here: https://bugs.gpodder.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1237
I would like to have the possibility of renaming the podcast files once
downloaded (ex: 1254-podcast.mp3 => 2010.12.25-TitleOfEpisode).
As a new feature, I would be satisfied if this is done manually (maybe by
editing some field in the "show notes" panel).
But I would definitely consider it a good thing if there is the possibility to
specify some rules for modifying all the files already downloaded for a given
podcast (= batch renaming).
It would also be great if the new name is "pinned", so that a re-downloaded
(after loosing the download folder for ex) would keep the names already
entered.
I know it is a lot to ask. And I would already be happy if only the start is
implemented.
PS: Maybe this feature should be envisioned as part of the possibility of
editing the (ID3)tags of the file (from a GUI point of view).
