I applied the patch to 2.12 and even the latest git. (Not sure which one I was
supposed to.) But either way, the same result happened. It seems to have made
the behaviour even more strange.

(I'm completely ignoring the "on_quit_systray" and "minimize_to_tray" options,
for the reasons mentioned above. They are always disabled in my tests now.)

Before applying the patch, to 2.12 and git, the same thing happens as mentioned
in this bug report. After applying the patch, here is what happens.

If I have "display_tray_icon" enabled, clicking on the taskbar button (or
minimize) causes the taskbar button to disappear when minimized, just like
before. In order to get it back, I have to click on the tray icon. Here's where
it gets strange. After clicking the tray icon (in order to get the window
back), it shows up in my taskbar, but in a minimized state. I have to click on
the taskbar again in order to restore the window. Clicking on the taskbar
button afterwards will repeat this process.

If I disable "display_tray_icon", gPodder behaves like a normal application
when minimizing / restoring, just like it always has.

Pavel, how does it behave on your end?
