Some devices need a certain amount of free space on disk to build their catalog
(I know it sucks, but that's the way they are made - for example sansa plug).
So when you fill it up with episodes using gpodder, you can't listen to them,
you have to plug it back in and delete a file to get the thing running.
It would be nice to have an advanced option where you could set
"minimum_free_space_mandatory" with a size in Mbytes. And this attribute would
be taken into account in the calculation of free space when syncing a device.
