--- Comment #10 from Stefan Kögl <[email protected]> 2011-11-17 07:09:41 GMT --- (In reply to comment #8) > Maybe I am missing something, but how do you plan on installing the > gpodder.net FF integration if I don't have gpodder installed? The current plan is to install the Firefox integration from gpodder.net, in which case you would just need an account there. > Sure, it would be nice to subscribe while I am not on my machine with gPodder; > but, again, how are you going to install the gpodder redirection? > > User scenario: > I am not on my machine. > I find a podcast. > I click on the url. > It opens in browser. > I say "damn, I want this in gpodder". > I visit gpodder. > I install a FF integration script. > I go back and click feed url again. > I am brought to gpodder.net. IMO the scenario is that you set up the Firefox integration on your machines that don't run gPodder (eg work computer, phone that supports Firefox but not gPodder, etc). Using the plugin would then be like bookmarking a feed, except that it get automatically added to your gPodder installations on the next occasion. > And, if I have gpodder on the system, why take me to gpodder.net and not just > open it in gpodder? That's a good point, actually. Maybe we should offer both versions from gpodder.net, and for those that don't (want to) use gpodder.net also offer the client script from gPodder itself. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
