             Bug #: 1507
           Summary: gPodder cannot find PyGTK
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 3.0.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: low
         Component: Application
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

When installing gPodder on Win7 Ultimate system it cannot find PyGTK after it
has been downloaded and installed.

Steps taken:

gPodder installallation package run
gPodder requests Python
Python 2.7.2 downloaded and installed in default directory

gPodder run from start menu
gPodder requests PyGTK
PyGTK downloaded and installed

gPodder run from start menu
gPodder AGAIN requests PyGTK
PyGTK repair run

gPodder run from start menu
gPodder AGAIN requests PhGTK
. . .

Installation was attempted and repaired once, then all programs uninstalled
(gPodder, Python, PyGTK), registry cleaned, system restarted.

Installation attempted a second time; AFTER failure to find PyGTK after its
installation:
  - gPodder uninstalled
  - PyGTK downloaded and saved to HD (pygtk-all-in-one-2.24.0.win32-py2.7.msi)
  - PyGTK repair run
  - gPodder reinstalled . . . and user AGAIN prompted for PyGTK

PyGTK appears to be correctly installed in Python27 folder, with PyGTK folders
present in that directory as well as subdirectories "include" and
"site-packages\gtk-2.0" and its command prompt is available on the start menu.
