             Bug #: 1596
Summary: "Merging episode actions" after *EVERY* podcast update
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: gpodder.net
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: low
         Component: Server-side API Backend
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

In gPodder 2.20, when I check for updates, it wants to merge EVERY single
episode action EVERY time. This takes a very long time, and the only way to get
around it is to disable the gpodder.net service.

I believe this is a gpodder.net backend issue, since with the same application
(gPodder 2.20), this behaviour did not occur. It only started happening
recently, even without updating gPodder.

If I click "Check for updates", it merges EVERY episode action. If I
right-click a single podcast and click "Update podcast" then it only merges the
episode actions of the selected podcast. This should not happen EVERY time,
since only the new changes should be sync'd: not my entire history.

This episode of Sesame Street is brought to you by the word "EVERY". Make sure
to write it out in caps, EVERY time you use it!
