Bug #: 1639
Summary: CNet episodes end up in Unknown folder
Classification: Unclassified
Product: gPodder
Version: 3.1.2
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Command-line interface
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
I'm trying out gPodder as an alternative to Juice so I can upgrade my Mac OS
system. (Juice uses a PPC version of python for some reason.)
I'm on a Mac Pro (Intel) running Mac OS 10.6.8
However, all the CNet podcasts I subscribe to end up in the Unknown folder of
their download directory.
Here are some sample feed URLs:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/cnet/firstlookhd
http://feeds.cnet.com/podcasts/CNETUpdateHD
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RumorHasItHQ
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cnet/the404video
I downloaded episodes for about 8 podcasts last night, and only the CNet ones
had this problem. (The others were from TWiT TV and Revision3.)
Is this fixed in 3.2.0? I'm using the CLI that comes with the GUI version so
that I can switch back and forth between the GUI and the CLI (apparently 3.1.12
and 3.2.0 use incompatible databases). The CLI doesn't seem to have as many
features as the GUI, but I would rather use the CLI to download so that I can
schedule them with cron.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
