             Bug #: 1650
Summary: Add feature to rename downloads with meta-data
                    information
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 3.2.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: low
         Component: Application
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

All my downloads that do NOT come from YouTube tend to have obscure filenames
that provide no insights into the content of the podcast.

I really do wish that Gpodder would offer an option to auto-name downloaded
files with the meta-data that Gpodder clearly has available (as the GUI
displays all the right info!).

I consume my content on another device (hooked up to my TV) so I am unable to
use the Gpodder GUI to assess the content. I need to hit PLAY before I know
what I'm going to be watching.

There seems to be support for this renaming when sync'ing to another device,
but I'm not sync'ing. I'm just downloading to a directory where another device
is indexing for TV-based playback.

Any thoughts on this feature?
