             Bug #: 1707
Summary: syncing causes gpodder to hang
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 3.2.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: low
         Component: Portable device synchronization
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

When I select "sync to device" gpodder hangs. The application window goes gray
and I have to force quit to close off the request. It appears that the device
does get the podcasts but gpodder is unusable until I restart it. Once
restarted gpodder doesn't mark the episodes synced as played.

My device is a Sansa Clip + and I'm syncing to it as a File system based
device. Always have done it this way since way back in gpodder 2.2.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 but this was also happening when using gpodder 3 on
Ubuntu 12.04 as well. No problems on 12.04 when I was using older version of
gpodder.

On another note why was the remove episodes from the device option taken out of
gpodder? This was quite handy when I already listened to an episode but didn't
remove it from the device itself.
