No special software required for an iAudio X4 with the Cowon  firmware or
with rockbox.

It's working great, although I may feel a little lost if the harddisk in my
DAP dies - I'd no longer have any  record of  what I've listened to  and
what I  haven't.

I've been quite happy with gpodder so far, and I've been using it quite a
bit for a few weeks now.
