What do you mean with "artwork support"? Do you have the URL of the channel that does not work? Does gPodder work when started as the new test user when adding the channel that didn't work for your initial user? Maybe you should run gPodder again with the --verbose switch and paste the console output when the error happens. I know you sent this before, but just in case the problem you now see is something different..
