Hey Thomas,
I downloaded v653. It seems that this version is less
prone to the Xlib freeze, but it still happens. My
report:
- first attempt: started gpodder, selected 4 episodes
for sync, immediate Xlib error and freeze. I click on
the 'close' button, get the dialog from Gnome
('application not responding'), and then click 'Force
quit'
- second attempt: restarted gpodder, selected same
four episodes, no crash. Then selected 4 episodes from
other channel, and transferred OK. Removed last 4
episodes from iPod, reselected them in gpodder, tried
'transfer', resulting in Xlib freeze.
In other words: it seems a bit erratic. This is the

Note: on one occasion, I had the Xlib freeze, but the
player did update in the background. Something seems
to go wrong just prior to starting the actual file
transfer.
