Shooting the new Talkshawk ad was indeed an exhilarating ride. With a
production of mega proportions, the new Talkshawk TVC was shot in Baroda &
Soorat, India.
The TVC showcases Ali Zafar and Aminah Haq along with the return of Sonia
Jehan. The inclusion of Sonia was a well-thought out decision, as she was much
admired by consumers. By popular demand of her fan base, Sonia was specially
written into the concept of the TVC, and portrayed in an array of avatars, each
showcasing different colorful costumes and elaborate dance sequences. It is
anticipated that her inclusion will add more energy, glamour and beauty in the
TVC, and will be appreciated by fans all over.

The new Talkshawk ad is accompanied with the fresh face of Aaminah Haq. The
pre-launch teaser print and TV ads created an exciting build up to the actual
commercial in an innovative and arresting manner. With a production of mega
proportions, the new Talkshawk commercial shot mostly in Old City Lahore, has
taken Pakistan by storm. The production crew led by famed director,
Asad-ul-Haq, had to lock down some of the most crowded locations in Lahore for
a whole day, including CooCo’s Den, Shahi Qila, Masjid Wazir Khan and Al-Hafeez
Plaza. With larger-than-life imagery, the usual song and dance routine has been
replaced with some exciting stunts under the expertise of the foreign stunt
crew, Ace Stunts. Specially hired from Malaysia, this team of professional
stunt men and riggers is part of the Fear Factor Asia stunt team and also used
for international films.

Talkshawk’s third TV commercial was shot in India, this time in Goa on the
harbor. Most of the production crew remained the same, except the Director of
Photography this time was Shiva, best known for his work on “Lagay Raho Munna
Bhai”. Feroz Khan was brought back to choreograph the sequences in this
commercial as well. ET Studios brought a new tune for Talkshawk 3.
The action was moved from a train to a moving yacht. With the intention of
making this commercial more adventurous and engaging, the two heroes danced and
acted in the style of a musical film or theater play. They also jumped from
boats. The shooting took place on the pier, where a whole bazaar was created on
the harbor.
This remained a memorable ad and also Sonia’s last as the Talkshawk brand
ambassador.
