The Russian woman was declared winner in the final show of the beauty contest held on Sunday night. The 31-year-old Russian Miss World was awarded a crown of white gold decorated with 63 rubies totally worth around 100, 000 dollars. Participants from the United States and Vietnam won second and third places, respectively.
The Miss World beauty contest drew participants from 76 world countries and territorial formations. The Miss World contest celebrated its 30th jubilee this year. It is one of the main events of the world fashion industry and is an alternative to other beauty contests because only married participants are admitted to the contest.
