Sadly, I have no robot to install things for me, I still have
tp/get to do that stuff myself. I used the Gentoo ebuidl.
This seems strange. I got the same error as you with 4.11.0, but
when I installed 4.11.1, it worked fine. Which fits with the 4.11.1
changelog.
As the SCons bug details: there are some preconditions for the bug
to express itself. If you have a fresh "git clone" of gpsd then it
works. If you have old works files, it fails.
Do you literally need a fresh clone, or is "git clean -dxf" sufficient?
