Hi Tai, Thanks for your patches. Right now there aren't that many people on gPXE-devel, so the audience for your patches is a bit small. Hopefully that will change as we remind people about this list. Right now, the [email protected] list has more people on it, and a discussion of a new feature seems appropriate for that list. This is a user-interface change, and getting input from other users would be useful. Now, regarding your patches, we'll certainly consider them, but please don't take it too personally if we decide not to put them in the trunk, or ask for changes to them. We have constraints on code space in gPXE, and though there are many things that would be nice to have, we are cautious about adding things that will increase code size. I am not committing us one way or the other, but I am concerned by your suggestion that your work "belongs to the trunk". Our trunk is not a trophy wall for people to point to and say "I got something in the trunk of gPXE". I certainly hope that's not your primary motivation here. I encourage your to share your ideas and code, and we, as group will examine your code and decide what to do. If we decide that the quality and utility of your code merit inclusion it will be included. Thanks again for your contribution, and your interest. / Marty / _______________________________________________ gPXE-devel mailing list [email protected] http://etherboot.org/mailman/listinfo/gpxe-devel
