Didn't miss it. Being able to specify the delimiter is an advantage,
but an extra UI requirement. What I meant was I agree with
(1) having a delimiter and
(2) ';' (as used in your example) is an intuitive default (to us). :)
That's about the trick I played with "kernel URL root=... [initrd URL]".
The only thing I'm sure is, there are no collisions with linux kernel
for now. However considering the others and the future, it sounds not
rock stable.
True. Syslinux' mboot.c32 uses "---" to delimit sets of module+cmdline,
which seems pleasant enough and would be at least a little familiar to
some multiboot users. I wonder if collisions were considered there...
