Yes it is the same floppy image I was testing using both methods. DOS is fully functional in the gPXE -> PXELINUX -> MEMDISK testing. I can get an IP address in DOS and can ping, etc.
DOS is NOT fully functional in the gPXE -> MEMDISK method. I can't run netbind.com which is run just before the client requests a DHCP address. If I skip the netbind.com process the client can't pickup an IP address. You should be able to download the floppy image from here: http://www.oswego.edu/~gfuller/dosundi.1 There's nothing sensitive on it. It's just a LANDesk boot floppy. --greg -----Original Message----- From: Shao Miller [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, March 11, 2010 14:29 To: Greg Fuller Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [gPXE] gpxe & keeping pxe stack loaded & DOS NDIS?? Is this the same floppy image as you tested in your gPXE -> PXELINUX -> MEMDISK test? If so, does the DOS networking fully work in that scenario, but not in the above gPXE -> MEMDISK scenario? Are you able to remove sensitive and/or proprietary data from your floppy disk image and share it somewhere? - Shao Miller _______________________________________________ gPXE mailing list [email protected] http://etherboot.org/mailman/listinfo/gpxe
