This is because you are using a GTK+2 backend of matplotlib, and graph-tool uses GTK+3, and these two cannot live together. You should use a different backend for matplotlib, such as GTK3Agg, GTK3Cairo, QtAgg, Qt4Agg, TkAgg, etc. Best, Tiago -- Tiago de Paula Peixoto <[email protected]>
