Hi,

I'm using the amd64 repository for Debian, so I assumed it would be a 64
bit java binary. Then I remembered that, at least with roll-out for 64
bit on SPARC, Debian ran a sort of hybrid system with 64 bit kernel and
32 bit userland. I wonder if it's the same on amd64.

In any case, I've downloaded and installed the 64 bit binary from
Oracle. Now I just need to redownload the north-america.osm.pbf (oops)
and give it a try again.
