For geocoding based on OSM data you should look at Nominatim - unfortunately 
it's not very standalone though and in my own experience, not accurate enough 
for batch geocoding, but it's probably the best OSM-derived solution.

I think that geocoding (address search) is not currently possible in the graph 
data.

But I prefer to let Peter to explain this as he knows better the library.
