Looks like we've got a solution to the amqp spec license issue. We can simply use the BSD licensed file here: http://www.amqp.org/confluence/download/attachments/720900/amqp0-8.stripped.xml?version=1&modificationDate=1250523131000
I'll put a comment to this effect on Lucio's merge proposal so he can swap in this file and we'll be good to go. -Chris ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Esteve Fernandez <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Jan 7, 2010 at 5:39 PM Subject: Re: txAMQP xml spec licensing issue To: Chris Davis <[email protected]> Hi On Thu, Jan 7, 2010 at 11:25 PM, Chris Davis <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Esteve, I maintain an open source project called graphite > (https://launchpad.net/graphite) and we're in the process of integrating > AMQP support by using your awesome txAMQP library. We're also in the process Wow, thanks. I just had a look at graphite and it looks really cool! > work and would avoid the licensing dilemma. Do you know if txAMQP could > function fully using the stripped down spec files? Absolutely, in fact, we're using the BSD spec files ourselves. We even tweaked them a bit, adding support for queue_unbind, which is supported by RabbitMQ, but not part of the official 0.8 spec. I can send you our specs if you intend to use that feature. Cheers.
