My apologies, that is a bug in 0.9.7 that I have fixed in trunk but not
released yet. You can checkout the latest trunk (you only need the
carbon/lib/carbon/storage.py file, put it in /opt/graphite/lib/carbon/.
Otherwise the fix will be out in a couple weeks with 0.9.8.
Thanks for reminding about this! This is a pretty crappy bug, so I'll
see about getting 0.9.8 out sooner than later.
